Summary

Sometimes a task is marked complete too early, or you need to re-open it so it can be worked on again. Resetting a task clears its completion state and moves it back into the workflow.

How to Reset a Task

  1. Open the Project

    • Go to Projects and select the project that contains the task you want to reset.

  2. Find the Task

    • Navigate to the List tab and find the task you want to reset in the list of tasks.

  3. Open Task Details

    • Open the task details.

  4. Reset the Task

    • In the task detail view, click the Subtasks and Responses tab.

    • Select Reset Task.

  5. Confirm Reset

    • A confirmation message appears. Click Reset to proceed.

    • The task will return to an open status. Any subtasks or steps will also be re-opened.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Subtasks also reset: If the task contains subtasks, resetting re-opens them too.

  • Notifications: Task assignees will be notified that the task is re-opened.
