Bulk Task Updates let you quickly edit many tasks at once. When you need to shift due dates, reassign work, complete multiple tasks, or clean up after building a project, the bulk selector helps you make changes in just a few clicks. This feature is available today in Projects → List and will soon be available in Playbooks as well.
Before You Begin
You must be in a project’s List view.
Bulk updates aren’t available in Calendar, Gantt, Responses, or other tabs.
Steps to Follow
1. Select your tasks
Open a project and click the List tab.
To the left of each task name, select the checkbox to include that task.
To select an entire module at once, click the checkbox next to the module name.
When one or more tasks are selected, a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen showing the number of selected tasks and your available bulk actions.
2. Choose a bulk action
From the bottom toolbar, choose any of the following:
Edit details — Update key fields for all selected tasks
Complete — Mark all selected tasks as complete
Nudge — Send a single combined email reminder for all tasks the user can see
Comment — Add the same comment to each selected task
Duplicate — Create copies of the selected tasks
Save to Library — Turn the selected tasks into reusable Library tasks
Delete — Permanently remove the selected tasks
3. Edit task details in bulk
Click Edit details.
A side panel appears with the fields you can modify.
Update one or more of the following fields:
Type (Customer or Internal)
Assignee
Assignee Restrictions
Start date
Due date
Status
Tags (Add or Remove)
For certain fields, you can also choose Clear value to remove the current value from all selected tasks.
Click Apply to All to save your changes, or Cancel to close the panel.
Tips & Troubleshooting
Nudges send one combined email.
When you nudge multiple tasks, the assigned user receives a single email that lists only the tasks they have visibility into—instead of multiple separate emails.
Not seeing checkboxes?
Make sure you're in Project → List, the only place bulk actions are currently available.
Dates not applying as expected?
Task dependencies or weekend exclusions may influence start and due date calculations.
Need to reverse an update?
Use the task activity log to see what changed, then bulk-apply new values if needed.
