Salesforce Picklist Options Don't Match in Automation Actions

When setting up a Project > Automations > Action to update a Salesforce picklist field, you may notice the available options under Salesforce Data don’t match what you see in Salesforce. This happens when OnRamp’s saved schema for that object is out of date. Refreshing the schema usually resolves it.


Steps to Fix

  1. Go to your project and open the Automations tab.
  2. Find or create the automation where you’re updating a Salesforce field.
  3. Under Object to update, confirm the Salesforce object (e.g. Case).
  4. Click the refresh icon next to the selected object. This pulls in the latest field and picklist values from Salesforce.
  5. Re-open the Salesforce Data field options — the list should now match Salesforce.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Still doesn’t match after refreshing? Confirm the picklist values in Salesforce have been published and activated — sometimes changes haven’t been deployed yet.
  • Try saving the automation, reloading the page, and checking again.
  • If the problem persists, contact OnRamp Support with the object name and field name for further help.
