Add Project Resources to the Customer Portal

Last updated: March 10, 2026

Project Resources allow you to share helpful materials directly with customers inside the Customer Portal.

These resources can include documentation, links, files, videos, or guides that help customers move through onboarding successfully.

Instead of sending information through scattered emails, resources give customers a central place to find everything they need throughout the project.

What Project Resources Are Used For

Project resources are typically used to share things like:

  • Implementation guides

  • Setup instructions

  • Product documentation

  • Training videos

  • Helpful links

  • Support resources

  • Meeting recordings

  • Project reference materials

These resources remain accessible to the customer throughout the project lifecycle.

Where Resources Appear

Resources appear inside the Customer Portal in the Resources section of the project.

Customers can access them at any time while working through their onboarding tasks.

This allows your team to provide helpful context without embedding large amounts of information directly inside tasks.

How to Add Resources to a Project

Resources can be added at two different levels.

1. At the Playbook Level

Adding resources to a Playbook makes them automatically available in every project created from that playbook.

This is useful for materials that should be shared with every customer, such as:

  • onboarding guides

  • training materials

  • product documentation

  • support information

To add resources at the playbook level:

  1. Open the Playbook

  2. Navigate to the Resources section

  3. Add your resource links or files

  4. Save the playbook

All future projects using that playbook will include these resources automatically.

2. At the Project Level

Resources can also be added directly to an individual project.

This is helpful when sharing materials specific to a particular customer, such as:

  • customer-specific documentation

  • implementation files

  • project notes

  • recorded meetings

To add resources to a project:

  1. Open the Project

  2. Navigate to the Resources section

  3. Add the link, file, or resource

  4. Save the changes

The resource will immediately appear in the customer’s portal.

Types of Resources You Can Add

Resources typically include:

Links
URLs to documentation, knowledge base articles, or external tools.

Files
Documents, guides, spreadsheets, or presentations.

Videos
Training or onboarding walkthrough videos.

Reference Material
Helpful documentation customers may need during implementation.

Best Practices for Project Resources

Share key documentation customers will reference often
Add onboarding videos to help customers get started
Include support and help resources
Keep resources organized and easy to understand
Avoid overwhelming customers with too many materials

A well-structured resources section makes the onboarding experience smoother and reduces back-and-forth communication.
