How Task Roles Work

Instead of assigning every task to a specific person, you tie tasks to roles like Onboarding Lead or Account Manager.

Overview

Task Roles in OnRamp make it easy to keep your projects organized. Instead of assigning every task to a specific person, you tie tasks to roles like Onboarding Lead or Account Manager. When you create a project, you simply map each role to the right teammate — and OnRamp automatically routes all the tasks.

Why Task Roles Matter

  • Consistency → Every project uses the same structure.

  • Flexibility → You can swap who fills a role without changing every task.

  • Speed → Projects launch faster, since you don’t have to assign tasks one by one.

Example

  • A Playbook has a task “Schedule Kickoff Call” restricted to the role Onboarding Lead.

  • When you create the project, you assign Pat as your team’s Onboarding Lead.

  • Every task tied to Onboarding Lead will automatically route to Pat.

✅ Task Roles are the secret to scaling your projects — create them once, then let OnRamp handle assignments for you.
