Using View Templates

Last updated: March 11, 2026

View Templates help you get useful insights faster.

Instead of starting from scratch, templates give you pre-built views designed for common questions teams ask when managing onboarding projects.

Think of them as ready-made reports you can open, customize, and save.

Templates are a great way to quickly answer questions like:

  • Which projects are currently in progress?

  • What tasks are overdue?

  • What work is assigned to me this week?

  • What questions are customers asking during onboarding?

Where to Find View Templates

To access templates:

  1. Navigate to Views in the left-hand menu

  2. Open the Templates section

Here you’ll see a set of pre-built views provided by OnRamp.

These templates act as starting points for common operational reports.

Common Templates

Some of the most commonly used templates include:

My Projects in Progress
Shows projects owned by you that are currently active.

My Tasks Due This Week
Helps you quickly see upcoming work that requires attention.

My Overdue Tasks
Highlights tasks that are past their due date.

Customer Task Comments
Surfaces comments left on tasks, which can reveal questions or friction during onboarding.

Each template includes pre-configured:

  • Filters

  • Columns

  • Sorting

This allows you to immediately start analyzing data.

Customizing a Template

Templates are fully customizable.

Once you open a template, you can adjust it to fit your needs by:

  • Adding or removing filters

  • Showing or hiding columns

  • Changing sorting

  • Applying grouping

You can also enable AI Summaries to analyze the data in the view.

If you make changes you'd like to keep, simply save the view.

This creates your own version of the template.

Saving a Template as a View

To save a customized template:

  1. Open the template

  2. Adjust filters, columns, or sorting

  3. Click Save View

  4. Give the view a name

The view will now appear in My Views, where it can be reused anytime.
