Create and Use Views in OnRamp
Last updated: March 19, 2026
Views let you build focused, filtered lists of tasks, projects, playbooks, accounts, or users — save them so you can return to the same setup instantly, share them with teammates, and use them to power AI-generated insights and reports.
Where to Access Views
Click Views in the left navigation. You'll see:
Templates — pre-built views to get started quickly
My Views — views you've created
Shared with Me — views shared by teammates
OnRamp Views — system views provided by the platform
Step 1: Create a View
Click + Create View in the upper right.
Enter a name and optional description.
Choose an Object Type — Projects, Tasks, Task Comments, Accounts, or Users — to determine which records appear.
Optionally toggle Enable AI-powered insights and choose:
Visual Data — charts and interactive visualizations
AI Insights — written analysis and recommendations
Click Create View.
Step 2: Apply Filters
Click Filters to define what records appear. You can use fixed values or relative date filters that automatically stay current — for example:
Project › Owner › is › Dylan MainTask › Status › is not › CompletedDue Date › in the next › 7 days— updates automatically as time passesComments › Created › in the last › 30 days
Relative date filters are ideal for saved views and recurring reports — they stay relevant without manual updates. Nest conditions with AND/OR groups for more precise filtering.
Step 3: Customize Columns
Click Columns to choose which fields are displayed. Toggle columns on/off, drag to reorder, and use Shrink/Grow Columns for better readability. Common columns include Owner, Status, Playbook, Tags, Health, Engagement, Progress, and Due Dates.
Step 4: Sort and Group Results
Use Sort By to order results by date, owner, progress, or status.
Use Group By to organize data hierarchically — Views now support up to three levels of grouping. For example, group by Account, then by Health Status, then by Owner. Each group shows row counts (e.g. "12 Projects") and breakdown tooltips so nested structures are easy to scan at a glance. Boolean fields like Overdue display as "Overdue: Yes" instead of just a checkmark.
Step 5: Save the View
Click Save in the top right.
Give the View a clear, descriptive name (e.g. Customer Tasks Without Owners or Q4 Projects by Owner).
Your View now appears under My Views.
Unsaved changes protection: If you modify filters or groupings and try to navigate away without saving, OnRamp will show a warning dialog so you don't accidentally lose your work.
Step 6: Share a View
Open the View and click the Share icon in the top-right corner.
Add the users who should have access and choose their permission level (Restricted or Shared).
Save the changes.
Shared views appear in teammates' Shared with Me tab, so everyone works from the same source of truth.
Step 7: Export View Data
Export Data (CSV) — exports the raw dataset
Export Summary (PDF) — exports any AI-generated analysis
Step 8: Manage Saved Views
Return to Views › My Views anytime. Use the … menu on any View to rename, share, duplicate, or delete it. You can also remove access for teammates at any time.
Tips & Troubleshooting
No results? Remove filters one at a time to isolate which condition is too restrictive.
Missing field in columns? Open Columns and toggle the field on.
Slow load? Refine your filters or reduce the results per page.
Use the AI Summary button on any AI-enabled View to generate quick insights and trend analysis from your filtered data.
Want always-current views? Use relative date filters ("in the last 30 days") instead of fixed calendar dates so your saved views never go stale.
