Core Insights: Overview
Last updated: April 20, 2026
What Is Core Insights?
Core Insights is OnRamp's built-in analytics and reporting hub — a purpose-built intelligence layer that gives your onboarding and customer success team a real-time view into everything that matters: how projects are tracking, where capacity is concentrated, which playbooks overrun, and whether your customers are actually showing up.
Instead of exporting data to spreadsheets or waiting on analyst reports, Core Insights surfaces the answers directly inside OnRamp — contextualized to your portfolio, filterable by date, account, owner, and status, and paired with an AI assistant that can summarize and recommend actions on demand.
Access Core Insights from the left navigation bar in OnRamp under the chart/analytics icon. The secondary left sidebar organizes views into four categories.
Navigation Structure
Capacity & Planning
Understand your team's workload and project flow across time.
Project Schedule Timeline — A visual Gantt-style timeline of your full project portfolio. Spot schedule conflicts, assess capacity by owner or segment, and click into any project for live details.
Project Pipeline — A waterfall and Sankey diagram showing how projects flow through a period: how many opened, were created, completed on time, pulled forward, archived, or pushed out.
Project Owner Workload — A bar chart of project distribution across owners. Identify who's overloaded and who has capacity to take on more.
Performance
Measure how efficiently your team executes against playbook expectations.
Playbook Duration — Compare average project completion time against the expected duration set in each playbook. Identify which playbooks consistently overrun or finish ahead of schedule.
Project Velocity — Track how many projects are started versus completed each month to surface throughput gaps before go-lives slip.
Task Performance — Analyze completion variance across every task template in your playbooks to find chronic bottlenecks.
Health & Risks
Monitor project health and customer sentiment to catch risk early.
Project Health Overview — A health score for every active project based on overdue task percentage. Quickly triage On Track, At Risk, and Off Track projects.
Customer Task Feedback — Track positive, negative, and "got stuck" feedback customers submit on completed tasks to identify friction in your onboarding flow.
Engagement
See whether customers and users are actually showing up and taking action.
Portal Engagement — View invite rates, login frequency, portal visits, task completions, and average session duration by project. Surface disengaged accounts before they fall behind.
User Engagement — Monitor active users, new signups, pending invites, and weekly activity trends across your full user base — internal and customer alike.
Coming Soon: The Overview Dashboard
The top-level Overview page is currently under development. When released, it will bring together real-time KPIs, portfolio summaries, AI-powered risk signals, and automated highlights — all in one place.
Shared Controls Across All Views
Every Insights view shares a consistent set of controls:
Date range picker — Select preset ranges (e.g., Last 90 days) or define a custom window.
Account / Owner / Status filters — Narrow results to a specific segment, owner, or project status.
Group By — Group charts by owner, status, or custom data fields (where available).
Sort By — Change the sort order of chart data (e.g., Start Date, Due Date, Progress).
Data Field — Add optional custom fields for additional context (e.g., Go-Live Goal Date, Segment).
Apply button — Filters don't apply until you click Apply, letting you stack multiple selections before refreshing.
Chart export & refresh — Each chart includes icons to refresh data and download the chart or underlying data.
OnRamp AI — Ask About This View
Every Insights view includes a built-in AI assistant panel on the right side labeled "Ask about [View Name]." It auto-generates a summary of the current chart data, surfaces key findings, and provides actionable recommendations — all in context. You can also type your own freeform questions. See the dedicated article: OnRamp AI: Ask About This View.
