Understanding the Project Overview Tab

Last updated: March 10, 2026

The Project Overview tab provides a high-level summary of the project’s status, timeline, and internal notes. It acts as the central dashboard for quickly understanding how a project is progressing without needing to review individual tasks.

From this view, teams can quickly see:

  • Overall project progress

  • Time remaining in the project

  • Engagement and project health indicators

  • Upcoming tasks

  • Internal notes and project details

This makes the Overview tab a useful place to quickly check the status of an onboarding project.

Project Status Summary

At the top of the Overview tab, several indicators provide a quick snapshot of the project’s progress and health.

These include:

Progress

The Progress percentage reflects how many project tasks have been completed.

This percentage updates automatically as tasks are marked complete.

Length / Used

This shows the project timeline compared to the time that has already passed.

For example:

40 days / 33 days

This means the project was scheduled for 40 days, and 33 days have already elapsed.

This helps teams understand whether the project is progressing within the expected timeline.

Engagement

The Engagement indicator reflects the level of activity happening within the project.

Engagement values include:

  • High

  • Medium

  • Low

Lower engagement may indicate that tasks are not being completed regularly or that activity has slowed.

Health

The Project Health indicator provides a quick assessment of whether the project appears to be on track.

Health values include:

  • On Track

  • At Risk

  • Off Track

These indicators help internal teams quickly identify projects that may require attention.

Internal Project Description

The Internal Project Description section allows teams to add internal context about the project.

This can include information such as:

  • Project goals

  • Customer background

  • Implementation notes

  • Special considerations for the onboarding

This description is for internal use only and is not visible to customers.

Project Tasks Snapshot

The Tasks section displays a quick summary of project tasks.

From this section you can:

  • View a list of tasks

  • Filter tasks (for example, tasks due today)

  • Quickly identify upcoming work

If a project has no tasks scheduled yet, this section will appear empty until tasks are added.

For full task management, teams typically use the List view.

Internal Notes

The Internal Notes section allows team members to add notes related to the project.

These notes can be used to capture information such as:

  • Customer feedback

  • Internal discussions

  • Implementation observations

  • Important project updates

Notes are visible only to internal users and help teams maintain context throughout the onboarding process.

Users can also filter notes to show:

  • All notes

  • Notes created by the current user

Why the Overview Tab Is Useful

The Overview tab helps teams quickly understand the overall state of a project without needing to navigate through multiple views.

Teams commonly use this page to:

  • Check overall project health

  • Identify projects that may be at risk

  • Review internal notes and project context

  • Quickly see upcoming tasks

This makes it a useful starting point when reviewing a project’s progress.
