Managing Project Members in OnRamp
Last updated: April 2, 2026
Overview
Every OnRamp project has a Members panel that gives you a real-time view of everyone involved in a project — both internal team members and customer contacts. You can track engagement, monitor portal access progress, and take key actions directly from this panel.
To open it, click the [# Members] button in the upper-right corner of any project.
Members Panel At a Glance
At the top of the Members panel, three summary stats give you a quick read on how the project is going:
Total Members — the total number of people added to the project, broken down by Internal and Customer users.
Total Visits — the cumulative number of times the customer portal has been visited, broken down by Internal and Customer.
Engaged Users — the percentage of members who have engaged with the project, with an Internal/Customer breakdown.
The Activity Chart
Below the summary stats is a line chart showing portal visit activity over time. Each member is represented by a different colored line, making it easy to see who is active and when engagement spikes occur.
Hovering over any point on the chart shows a tooltip for that date, listing each user and their visit count for that day. If a user completed tasks or answered subtasks during that period, that detail is included in the tooltip as well.
You can control which members appear on the chart using the On chart toggle on each member card (see below).
Filtering and Sorting Members
Use the tabs at the top of the members list to filter by All, Internal, or Customer users. You can also sort the list by Most Recent activity using the Sort By dropdown.
Member Cards
Each member is displayed as a card showing:
Name, email, and account — along with a badge indicating whether they are a Customer or Internal user.
Portal access progress — a step-by-step pipeline showing where the user is in the invitation and access flow: Invited → Delivered → Opened → Clicked → Accessed. Completed steps are shown with a green checkmark. Hovering over any green checkmark will show the date that step was completed, or Unknown if the date isn't available.
Last Visit — when the user last visited the portal, and the total visit count below it.
Last Action — the most recent action taken by the user (e.g., completing a task).
Tasks — how many tasks have been completed out of the total assigned (e.g., 10 of 23), or None assigned if no tasks have been assigned to that user.
Member Card Actions
At the bottom of each member card are up to four action buttons:
Send Invite Email — Resends the project invitation email to that member.
Open Portal as User — Opens the customer portal from that user's perspective. This option is available on Customer members only.
Edit User Profile — Opens the user's profile for editing.
Remove User from Project — Removes the member from the project.
On Chart / Hidden Toggle
Each member card has an On chart indicator in the bottom-right corner. When enabled, that user's activity is plotted as a line on the activity chart above. You can toggle any member off to declutter the chart — useful when you want to focus on a specific user's engagement trend without noise from others.
Adding Members
Use the + Internal User and + Customer User buttons in the upper-right corner of the Members panel to add new members to the project. Internal users are members of your own organization (e.g., your CS team), while Customer users are contacts at the customer's company.
