Connect the HubSpot Integration to Sync Project Details

Last updated: March 13, 2026

Connecting HubSpot to OnRamp closes the loop between your sales pipeline and your onboarding motion — so Closed Won Deals flow straight into projects, and your HubSpot records stay current as work progresses.

Before You Begin

  • You must be a Super Admin to set up the integration.
  • You need an active HubSpot account with API access permissions.

Step 1: Go to Integrations Settings

  1. In OnRamp, click Settings in the left navigation.
  2. Click Integrations+.
  3. Choose HubSpot.

Step 2: Connect HubSpot

  1. Find the HubSpot tile and click Connect.
  2. Follow the authorization prompts to complete the OAuth connection.
  3. When successful, the tile will show a Connected status.

Step 3: Link a Project to a HubSpot Deal

Linking a project keeps onboarding progress visible inside HubSpot.

  • When creating a new Project, you’ll be prompted to link it to a HubSpot Deal.
  • For existing Projects, open the project and go to Settings › Integrations, then click Link a Deal and search for the correct Deal.

Step 4: Review Incoming Deals

Once connected, newly Closed Won Deals in HubSpot will appear in Projects › Incoming in OnRamp.

  1. Click Convert to Project to create a project already linked to that Deal.

Note: Only future Deals will appear — OnRamp does not backfill historical Deals.

What Fields Sync to HubSpot?

When a Project is linked to a HubSpot Deal, OnRamp automatically pushes key onboarding fields to a section called OnRamp Information inside the Deal view in HubSpot. This includes fields like project status, milestone progress, and completion data.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Not seeing Deals in the Incoming tab? Confirm the Deal is in Closed Won stage in HubSpot.
  • OnRamp fields not showing in HubSpot? Projects must be manually linked to a Deal for the sync to activate.
  • Want to automate linking? Consider using the Zapier integration or the OnRamp API to streamline deal-to-project creation.
