When to Use This

Exporting data in OnRamp lets you pull structured information—like Projects, Tasks, Accounts, and Users—into a file you can analyze or share outside of OnRamp. This is especially helpful when you need to run custom reports, archive project information, or share data with other systems.

Steps to Follow

1. Navigate to Exports

  • From the left-hand menu, click Settings.

  • Select Exports.
Here, you’ll see a list of your previous exports.

2. Review Existing Exports

On this page, you can:

  • Download completed exports

  • Remove exports you no longer need in the list

  • Search or filter exports by user or export type

3. Create a New Export

  • In the top-right corner, click + New Export.

  • A new window opens where you choose the type of export. Options include:

    • Projects

    • Tasks

    • Accounts

    • Internal Users

    • Customer Users

    • Bulk Data Export

4. Set Filters

Depending on the export type, you’ll see filters to narrow down results. Common filters include:

  • Status: Active, Completed, Archived, or All

  • Timeframe: Choose a date range

  • Date Field: Select which field to apply the timeframe filter against

Note: Different export types may have unique filter options.

5. Run the Export

  • Click Create to start the export.

  • You’ll see a confirmation message letting you know the export is running.

  • You’ll also receive an email notification when the export is finished.

You can only run one export at a time. If one is pending, you must wait until it finishes before starting another.

6. Download or Manage Your Export

  • After running, your export shows in the list with a Scheduled status.

  • Once complete, the status changes to Complete, and you can:

    • Download the export file

    • Remove it from the list

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • If you don’t see the option to create an export, check your permissions. Exports are usually available to Admin users.

  • If your export takes a long time, try filtering by a narrower timeframe or fewer statuses.

  • Didn’t get the completion email? Check your spam/junk folder or download directly from the Exports page.
