Please Note: Integrations+ has replaced the Legacy Integration to Salesforce

Use this guide to integrate Salesforce with OnRamp, enabling two-way syncing of project data. You’ll be able to view OnRamp project progress directly in Salesforce and quickly turn closed-won opportunities into new OnRamp projects.

This integration helps your team stay aligned by keeping both systems up to date—automatically.

Before You Begin

  • You must be an OnRamp Admin to configure the integration.

  • The Salesforce user used to authenticate must have permission to create and update fields.

  • Only one user needs to complete the connection for the org.

Steps to Follow

1. Connect Salesforce to OnRamp

Let’s get the two platforms talking.

  • In OnRamp, go to Settings > Integrations

  • Find the Salesforce tile and click Connect

  • Log in and approve access using your Salesforce credentials

Once connected, OnRamp can push and pull data from your Salesforce instance.

2. Select the Object to Sync

Choose where OnRamp project data should go in Salesforce.

  • Click the info icon (i) on the Salesforce card

  • Select the Salesforce Object to sync with (e.g., Opportunity, Account, or Lead)

  • This will determine where the new OnRamp fields appear

3. Link Projects to Salesforce Records

You can link a project when creating it, or anytime after.

  • When creating a Project, search for and select a Salesforce record to link

  • Or, go to an existing Project > Settings > Integrations section to link it later

Once linked, project updates will sync to Salesforce automatically.

4. Display OnRamp Fields in Salesforce

Showcase the live project data directly in Salesforce.

  • OnRamp will automatically create several new fields on the selected Object

  • In Salesforce, add these fields to your Page Layouts as needed

  • You’ll now see real-time updates such as:

    • OnRamp Project Status

    • OnRamp Project Owner

    • OnRamp Project Progress

    • OnRamp Project URL

    • …and more

5. Sync Project Notes

Keep track of key updates across platforms.

  • Any notes added to an OnRamp Project will sync to the linked Salesforce record (if the Object supports Notes)

  • If you update the note in OnRamp, it’ll automatically update in Salesforce too

6. Enable Incoming Opportunities

Speed up project creation from new sales.

  • Head to Projects > Incoming in OnRamp

  • Click Approve Permissions to allow OnRamp to pull in new Opportunities

  • Once enabled, OnRamp will:

    • Check Salesforce every 5 minutes

    • Display Closed-Won Opportunities from the past 45 days (on a go-forward basis)

    • Allow you to click Create Project directly from the list

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Need to hide or rearrange the new fields in Salesforce? Just adjust the Page Layouts like you would with any custom field.

  • Don’t see Notes syncing? Double-check that Notes are enabled on your selected Salesforce Object.

  • Only deals closed after you’ve granted access will appear in the Incoming tab.
