Connect to Salesforce Using Integrations+
Summary / When to Use This
You can connect Salesforce to OnRamp using Integrations+, our built-in integration hub. This connection helps you automatically create projects from closed opportunities, sync customer data, and keep both systems up to date—saving time and reducing errors.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
Salesforce Admin access (or credentials with API and object permissions)
OnRamp Admin access to enable integrations
Your Salesforce org type (Production vs Sandbox), so you know which environment you’re connecting
Steps to Follow
1. Open Integrations+
In OnRamp, go to Settings.
Select Integrations+ from the menu.
Find Salesforce in the list of available integrations.
2. Start the Connection
Click Connect on the Salesforce tile.
Choose the environment you want to connect: Production or Sandbox.
A Salesforce login screen will appear. Enter your Salesforce admin credentials.
3. Authorize Access
Review the requested permissions. These allow OnRamp to read/write Projects, Opportunities, Accounts, and Contacts as needed.
Click Allow to authorize OnRamp.
4. Configure Sync Settings
After authorization, you’ll return to OnRamp:
Objects to Sync – Decide which Salesforce objects (Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts) should connect to OnRamp Projects, Customers, and Users.
Triggers – Choose when OnRamp should create or update records (for example: “When an Opportunity moves to Closed Won, create a new Project”).
Field Mapping – Match Salesforce fields (e.g.,
Opportunity.Name
) with OnRamp data fields (e.g.,Project Name
).
5. Test the Connection
Use the Test Connection button in Integrations+.
Create or update a test record in Salesforce to confirm the sync is working.
Check OnRamp to see that the Project or Customer was created as expected.
6. Save and Activate
Once you’re satisfied with your configuration, click Save.
Your Salesforce integration is now live!
Tips & Troubleshooting
Sandbox First: Always connect to Sandbox before Production to test safely.
Permission Issues: If the connection fails, confirm that your Salesforce integration user has API access and the right object permissions.
Field Mismatches: If data isn’t syncing, review your field mappings in Integrations+.
Multiple Orgs: You can connect more than one Salesforce org—just repeat the steps for each environment.
