Summary

If you’ve reopened a project that was previously completed or archived, you may notice your customers can’t access the portal anymore. This is because the Portal Live toggle is automatically turned off when a project is marked as completed. Re-opening the project does not automatically turn it back on.

Steps to Restore Portal Access

  1. Open the Project

    • Go to the project you’ve re-opened.

  2. Navigate to the Portal Tab

    • In the project, click the Portal tab in the navigation bar.

  3. Enable the Portal Live Toggle

    • Locate the Portal Live toggle.

    • Switch it on to reactivate portal access.

  4. Confirm Customer Access

    • Once toggled on, customer users linked to the project will again be able to access the portal.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Why does this happen?

    • When a project is marked Complete or Archived, OnRamp automatically disables the portal.

    • When you re-open the project, the system does not turn the portal back on automatically.

  • How to avoid confusion:

    • Always check the Portal Live toggle after reopening a project.

    • If customers report they can’t see the portal, confirm this setting is enabled.

  • Enhancement Note:

    • This behavior is currently by design but may be improved in the future so the portal can automatically reactivate on project reopen.
