Troubleshooting Missing Salesforce Field Values in OnRamp

Last updated: April 20, 2026

If a new field mapping from Salesforce is not populating a data field value in OnRamp where expected, this is typically due to the field not being included in the Salesforce outbound message configuration.

This is especially common when the field was created recently — newly created Salesforce fields are not automatically added to existing outbound messages, so any outbound message referencing them needs to be manually updated to include the new field.

How to Check and Fix Missing Field Mappings

To resolve this issue, you'll need to verify that the field is included in your Salesforce outbound message:

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup

  2. Navigate to Outbound Message (found in the left-hand menu under workflow actions)

  3. Find and open the outbound message with "ONRAMP" in the name

  4. Check the "Fields to send" section to see if the field you're mapping (e.g., "Shop Setup Link (OnRamp Format)", a custom text field, a date field, etc.) is included in the list

  5. If the field is missing, edit the outbound message and add the required field

  6. Save your changes

Testing the Fix

After updating the outbound message configuration:

  1. Create a new project in OnRamp

  2. Verify that the field now populates with the expected value

  3. If the issue persists, contact support for further investigation

Note that changes to outbound messages in Salesforce may take some time to take effect, and the fix will only apply to newly created projects after the configuration update.
