Reset a Task in OnRamp
Last updated: March 13, 2026
Marked complete too soon? Need a customer to re-submit their answers? Resetting a task clears its completion state and re-opens it for action — subtask responses and all. It’s a quick fix that keeps you from having to recreate work from scratch.
How to Reset a Task
- Go to Projects and open the project containing the task.
- Navigate to the List tab and find the task you want to reset.
- Click to open the task details.
- Select the Subtasks and Responses tab inside the task.
- Click Reset Task.
- Confirm the reset when prompted.
The task returns to an open status. All subtasks and step responses are cleared and re-opened.
What Happens After a Reset
- Subtasks reset too. Every step inside the task is re-opened, not just the parent.
- Assignees get notified. The task assignee receives a notification that work has been re-opened.
- Previous responses are cleared. Any answers or file uploads from the prior completion are removed.
Tips
- Use this sparingly. Resetting clears response history — do it intentionally, not as a workaround for reviewing old answers.
- Need to review past responses first? Check the Activity Log or Responses Tab before you reset — you may find what you need there.
