Import a Playbook into OnRamp

Already have your onboarding process documented in a spreadsheet? Skip the manual build and import it directly into OnRamp as a ready-to-use Playbook.

Step 1: Download the Import Template

  1. In OnRamp, go to Settings.
  2. Click Imports.
  3. Click Download Import Template in the top right.

Step 2: Fill In the Template

The template has three sheets — one for each level of your playbook:

  • Playbooks
  • Modules
  • Tasks

Fill in each sheet with your content. Each row represents one item at that level.

Tip: If you don’t use Excel, import the template into Google Sheets, edit it there, and export it back to .xlsx format before importing.

Step 3: Import Into OnRamp

  1. Return to Settings › Imports.
  2. Upload your completed Excel file.
  3. OnRamp will process the file and create your Playbook with all modules and tasks intact.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Import failed? Check that your file is saved as .xlsx and that each sheet follows the template’s column structure exactly.
  • Missing tasks? Make sure each task row references a valid Module name from the Modules sheet.
  • Want to refine after importing? You can edit any part of the generated Playbook — modules, tasks, descriptions — directly in the Library after import.
