CRM update failed: no CRM record selected
Last updated: October 2, 2026

Project automations are available when they're turned on for your organization. If you don't see an Automations tab on your projects, contact your OnRamp team.
This CRM update stopped because its action has no record to update. In the project's Logs, the Update Salesforce Field or Update Hubspot Field row has an X in Success. Error includes No object entity found for uuid, and Payload shows only {}. When you open the action, it shows Selected integration entity not found.
Why it happens
Each Update Salesforce field or Update Hubspot field action updates the one CRM record selected in it. If the action has no record, or the record's link is gone, OnRamp stops before it contacts your CRM. That happens in one of two ways:
- The automation was copied without a record. OnRamp fills in the record when it copies an automation onto a project from its playbook, a module or the library. If the workflow that created the project chose a record, OnRamp uses that one. Otherwise, it needs a linked record of the same type, and for a module or library automation, exactly one.
- The record's link was removed. The link was removed from the project or its account, or the integration was disconnected. Disconnecting removes all of that integration's record links.
Fix it
- Open the project from Projects.
- Select the Automations tab.
- Select the automation in the list. It opens in Workflow.
- Select the Update Salesforce field or Update Hubspot field step.
- In Salesforce Object Entity or Hubspot Object Entity, select the record to update. The Salesforce list shows records linked to the project and its account. The HubSpot list shows records linked to the project.
If the record isn't listed, link it to the project first:
- Select the project's Settings tab.
- Under Project Integrations+ Settings, select Add entity.
- In Integration and Record type, select your CRM and the record's type.
- In Search by Field, select a field, enter what to search for, and then select Apply.
- In Record, select the record, and then select Confirm.
- Go back to the Automations tab, select the automation and its step, and then select the record.
- Select Save.
- Repeat the event on the project. Then, in Logs, select Refresh to see the new row.
Tip: If a workflow creates these projects, its Project Automation step can choose the record for each CRM action. Projects it creates after you publish that change get the record automatically. See Understanding Playbook & Project Automations.
Still stuck?
Contact support with the project's name and link, the automation's trigger and action, and the row's Timestamp. Include the text from Error and the CRM record the automation should update.
