Sometimes in the course of a project there are times where you may not want to wait for a member of your organization to create a new project and invite customer users.

With self-service registration, you can configure a customer organization to allow anyone with an authorized email domain to access their portal and create their own project from a set of selected playbooks.

Enabling self-service registration for a customer organization

Navigate to the Customers page via the link in the sidebar.

If the customer organization already exists, click the name to view and edit the company.

If the customer organization does not yet exist, click the + Create Customer button to begin.

Toggle the Allow Self-Service Registration switch to On

In the Permitted Root Domains field, type the email address domain(s) you want to allow.
Hit the <Enter> key to submit after each domain is entered.

Allowing a playbook to be self-service

Select and open the playbook from your Library.

Go to the Portal tab and click the Settings button.

Toggle the Self-Service Settings to On and fill out all sections.

The customer's self-serve experience

For Customer Organizations where self-service registration is enabled, anyone who enters an email address from an authorized domain who has not already been added to a project will be prompted to create a customer user account.

The new user will also need to complete a PIN-based email authentication.

Self-serve customer users may create a new project from any self-serve playbooks but they will not be able to access any other projects unless a member user invites them.
