There are two types of Slack notifications you can configure within OnRamp:

The Slack app will even take on the name and logo of your Organization when posting messages:

To setup notifications, you must first authorize OnRamp's app with Slack.

Note: You must have permission from your organization to install apps and to post in every channel you wish to configure.

1. Go to Settings > Integrations

2. Click 'Connect' on Slack integration tile

3. Follow the instructions from Slack to install

OnRamp provides project update notifications that you can post to a shared channel with the customer (or any other channel you may want to post to).

1. Complete Initial Setup above

2. When creating or editing a Project select an existing channel to link the Project to (or create a new channel directly from OnRamp!)

3. If one of your channels is a private channel in Slack, you must invite the OnRamp app to your channel. You can do this as shown below or by typing "/invite @onramp" into the channel

4. Project notifications will now post to this channel!

OnRamp allows you to post major project milestones like project creation and project completion to any channel automatically - no individual Project-to-channel linked required. This is often used for team transparency in a team channel (e.g. #team-onboarding or #team-cs)

1. Complete Initial Setup above

2. Go to Settings → Integrations

3. Click the ( i ) icon on the Slack tile

4. Select the channels where notifications should be sent

4a. If one of your channels is a private channel in Slack, you must invite the OnRamp app to your channel.

5. Project completion and creation notifications will now post to these channels!
